The Fishing Area

Fishing permitted by the Assynt Angling Group covers a wide area including approximately 200 lochs that spread both to the north and south of the enigmatic Loch Assynt to the east of the village of Lochinver. The fishing has been split into three zones West, South and East to make reference easier. Each zone offers you something very different and a chance to explore rarely fished waters out amongst the mountains or more accessible waters closer to the road. Use the Zone Map to look closer at the lochs and topography of each area to allow better trip planning.
